“As God who called you is holy,
be holy yourselves.”

Celebrate Catholic Education
Each year, during Catholic Education Week, the Catholic community of Ontario engages in a week-long celebration to promote the distinct identity and significant contributions Catholic education makes to students, their families, our Church and the fabric of society. The theme for this year’s celebration is: “Catholic Education: Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness” and will take place during the week of May 3 – May 8.
Message for Catholic Education Week from Bishop Joseph Dabrowski, CSMA
Dear Students, Teachers, Parents, and Friends of Catholic Education,
It is a joy for me, as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton, to greet you during Catholic Education Week. I look forward to meeting many of you in our schools and parishes in the months ahead. This year’s theme is “Pilgrims of Hope: On the Path to Holiness.” These words remind us that life is a journey. Each day we learn, grow, and discover how God calls us to live with faith, courage, and trust in His plan for us…

Catholic Education Week Prayer
God of grace and love,
Strengthen and sustain us as we continue to journey as pilgrims of hope.
Guide us on the path to holiness with the light of your love.
Inspire us to serve joyfully in the love of Christ through the beautiful examples of the saints.
As we journey together in faith,
may we experience the peace of Christ through the presence of one another.
We pray that all young people in our Catholic schools may believe,
and become empowered by, these three important Gospel messages:
“God loves you!”
“Christ saves you!”
“The Holy Spirit lives in you!”
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
